TeachTechPlay Touchcasts – Digital Leaders

A highlight listed by many of the teachers that attended the TeachTechPlay conference was the heavy involvement of students in making the conference amazing.  Below are reflections from the four Digital Leaders that attended and filmed the conference.  They have also created amazing TeachTechPlay Touchcasts to capture the highlights.

From Joel & Mia

Our  favourite part of the Teach Tech Play Conference, was when we made the videos for ALL the guest speakers. First, we watched Alice Keeler’s speech. She talked about using Google classroom. We then went into the Middle Years Building where we made a video for Alice Keeler. The video included, an introduction, a little talk on Alice Keeler’s speech, an interview, and the conclusion.

Then we had Ryan Trainor’s speech at the end of the day on the Thursday. He talked about beauty and his graphic design school. The next day, we made his video, and had the same things as Alice Keeler’s in it.

At the start of the second day was Mark Anderson’s speech. He was talking about the revolution of digital leaders, and I personally felt like we as Digital Leaders were included in this one. After his speech, we went inside the Middle Years Hall, and we did his video. This included the same things as all the other videos.

At the TeachTechPlay conference, we were able to share our knowledge of TouchCast with a group of teachers. We also got to listen to the keynote speakers and experts from all over the world. Altogether we think it was a great experience and an opportunity to learn something new about tech.

From Sugeesh

The TeachTechPlay conference was held on the Thursday and Friday before the start of Term 2. Many teachers from around Australia and even some from around the world came to see the three keynote speakers,(Ryan Trainor, Mark Anderson and Alice Keeler) as well as to enjoy a fantastic day with information sessions varying from how to use an app to programming drones. I really enjoyed my time at this conference because I myself got to go to some sessions and meet lots of new people. I also would like to thank Mr Brophy and Mr Coleman for giving me the opportunity to attend it. So all in all I really enjoyed the conference and can’t wait for next years one.
